Haworthia White ghost was in flower. I'll go and dissect a flower so I can see a close up of the organs. Always helpful as a reference when I have the opportunity to hybridize.

Cross section of Sedeveria 'Blue elf' flower, which I used the pollen to pollinate an Echeveria purpusorum flower....

Beautiful Aeonium. :thumbright:
We get the same heatwaves during summer. Our weather is opposite to yours.

Thank you. Some of the plastic pots my plants are in decided to melt/deform in the sun as well...

Most of the Aeoniums are going into dormancy.

Meanwhile, Aeonium decorum continues to put up flower stalks despite my efforts to thwart it. I'll just leave it be this time... :D

Seems like it's been a while since I updated this thread.

It's interesting to note that the ovaries in the flower share the same variegation as the leaves.

The ovaries look nice, some patchy areas of chlorophyll makes for an interesting plant.

This intergeneric hybrid (xSedeveria 'Blue Elf') was getting rather leggy. As Echeverias get leggy, the main rosette generally starts weakening and starts to decrease in size. I am not sure if this applies to their intergeneric hybrids, but I thought I might as well cut it up...

Haworthia cymbiformis F. variegata. I have been able to keep this plant fairly compact by giving it filtered but somewhat intense light. It recently decided to go put out an excessive amount of offsets. I reckon I will have to remove some of the reverted offsets (all green) if I want to keep it as a nice colony.

Nice job on the variegated haworthia, no matter what I do I've melted all the variegated haworthia I've had. But then again I also tend to melt regular haworthia.

Aeonium Mardi gras. This plant is patented so it is technically illegal to propagate it without a license. :(
It is a hybrid of 2 plants, an un named hybrid parent "# 13" and Aeonium velour. The parentage is somewhere along the lines of
A. [arboreum f. variegata x (zwartkop x tabuliforme)] x (zwartkop x canariense).
