If you have a succulent plant and need help identifying it, this is the place to post it.

Agave Maculata?

Post by Hero878 »

I saw this in a shop the other day and apparently its an Agave Maculata but nothing comes up on google. Does anyone know of the Latin name and is it a rare/special/interesting plant?
Thanks

UPDATE
Apologies it does come up on google actually. Also known as Manfreda maculosa. Anyway be nice to still hear some views on this plant if anyone has one.

yes seen it before, it's probably a Manfreda maculosa, which seems to have Agave Maculata as a synonym.

Thanks! interesting...Manfreda sounds right as it doesn't look like a typical Agave with it's thinner leaves. Apparently it's very useful if you crush the leaves it can draw at poison from snake bites etc haha
