Making your own christmastree..

Post by Mrs.Green »

I came over this on reddit ; https://www.reddit.com/r/gardening/comm ... as_cactus/

but apparently the idea isn’t new.. https://chestofbooks.com/gardening-hort ... Tribe.html
if I understood this right, the extract form this journal is from 1854-1873.

To be a little more precise, it comes from the 1856 issue of The Horticulturist and Journal Of Rural Art and Rural Taste, Volume 11 (or New Series Volume VI), pages 28-30. Published in Philadelphia, USA. I could not find the Gardeners' Chronicle article to which it refers.

If you want to go down a gardening history rabbit hole, the Biodiversity Heritage Library is the place for you.
