Pachypodium bispinosum pruning help

Post by Henkl »

Hello, I have a pachypodium bispinosum I’ve had maybe two years. It’s growing well and healthy and I have been considering pruning the main branch to promote some new branching. Do any of you have any tips or advice? This is my first time. Also is it worth rooting the cuttings afterwards? Thanks for any help in advance!

Hallo Henkl,
you might have a look at this thread: https://www.cactiguide.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39345. There are some examples.
A couple of pictures of your plant would help everybody to "get a picture" of your situation.

Welcome to Cactiguide, Henki!

Yes, the thread linked by nachtkrabb covers the subject pretty well - and I agree that pictures of your plant would help. As for rooting the cuttings - sure, it's worth trying, they can be grown from cuttings.
