Struggling to identify this cactus

Post by localzuk »

I'm new around here and was wondering if anyone could help me identify this cactus? It was a gift, and I have spent quite a bit of time searching through images for a match, but so far I have come up with nothing. Everything that's close ends up having features that this one doesn't have.

Some info about it: I got it about 18 months ago, and when I got it it was just up to the height of where the third limb attaches. It had a very small start of that first limb but no others. It was about 3" tall.

Now, it has 6 limbs and is near enough 6" tall. It has yet to flower for me or for its past owner.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. :)

Agreed on both counts. It's not a cactus, which is probably why you've been struggling to identify it.

Huh! Thanks for identifying it, and for advising about the sunlight! It is now in a much more sunny spot.
