Leaf cuttings.. what’s next?

Post by Msannic »

So I have these two little guys who fell off during the repotting of an unidentified plant about a month ago. One sprouted half inch roots with no leaves. And the other sprouted leaves but no roots! How long do I leave them alone before I have to do something with them? And if the little rosettes never sprout roots, what do I do?! This is my first attempt at propagating that actually took, so I don’t want to ruin it! Please help!

Be patient!
Whatever you are doing is providing OK conditions for them, I'd expect roots/leaves to develop soon. Plants this size have few resources so will grow slowly, just as tiny seedlings grow slowly at first.
You can leave them a long time if you want, I wouldn't hurry to change anything. Maybe but them in pots in 4 or 5 months time if you want?

Perfect. Thank you! That is what I needed to know. I was so worried I would wait too long or not long enough! I’ll keep a close eye on them but leave them be for now! I appreciate your help!
