Sorry I didn't came here to see the answers for my question before. Thanks for all that replied my question about Mammillaria hybrids.
Indeed I don't see too much about the subject (besides M. carmenae x M. laui subducta), so I assume hybridization between Mammillarias is a rare event.
Anyway , just to check this out, I'm crossing species that are related : M. bombycina x M. ascensionis (same Series) and M. bombycina x M. brachytrichion (same group within the Series). Not that I want the hybrids. I just want to test whether crossings within the same Series will work or not. If it doesn't work within the Series, probably crossings between different Series will not work at all.
