Your pictures are beautiful, but that's literally not true. There are no cactus species that can be used for landscaping in temperate rainforests or other very wet areas. Even with the very best drainage in the ground it is just too wet and cold when it rains more than 320 days a year.

Succulents do well where I live , cactus do well also.
