Well the idea is to fill in the list of species. So if there are any that you can't find here then I need pics. (Note: The current taxonomy is based on Anderson's so it is good to keep that in mind for synonomous names.)

Daiv,
What do you think about adding a pests and diseases photo reference section once the species photos are complete?

Well after adding some features to the forum (which I've already started  ), then it will be finishing up the distribution search ( http://www.cactiguide.com/distribution ), then the big picture project -I have a plan to make it more organized.

So there are some things that still need doing first. On this same note, however, I have been in contact with the owner of CactusClinic, the former site that had lots of good info on cactus diseases and pests. The plan was to incorporate all of that data into CactiGuide, but he was too busy to get to it and didn't respond to my recent e-mail so that might be out.

I'm curious if you're familiar with the Encyclopedia of Life at EOL.org. They are putting together a webpage for every species on earth and will be taking submissions around June, I think. It may be of interest to folks on this website to get their knowledge available to a much wider audience. Check it out at http://www.EOL.org they are looking for partners, I believe, to provide content.

I have many pics of Peniocereus cuixmalensis I am willing to share, including blooms from July 2nd (full moon) 2008. Stayed up half the night, but it was well worth the effort! :D

Just an update, lots of pictures have been added in the last two months. There are 257 new pictures and 34 new species.

Thanks to all who have contributed! More on the way.

Some really super habitat shots too. For instance check out P. scopa ssp neobuenekeri on this page:

Hi Daiv

I see that you have thousands...well..a lot of E Engelmanii, but the photos all appear to habitat shots of adults.

I'll send through a picture of a seedling, and maybe someone reading this has a picture of a slightly older plant?

Yep, lots of those and lots of F. cylindraceus too.
