Whose going to choose a new cactus of the month for July, seeing we are already halfway through?

I've got a couple of cacti as submissions. Is this the right place to do so?

First is my newest Gymno, a triple head of Gymnocalycium saglionis. Just because I love Gymnos, and because it has such lovely new growth.

.
The next is a Mammillaria spinosissima because it's starting to push out a fair quantity of fruit.

.
Then there is my Mammillaria karwinskiana that has made a pretty good start on dichotomous growth.

And last of all one of my favorite cacti in the entire world... a Gymnocalycium friedrichii, who's green and red body with it summer long brilliantly pink flowers that is just absolutely gorgeous to my eye.

The body colour of your G. saglionis is very nice. I have 2 of same species which are quite old.
Since the sunlight is too strong, their body colour is yellowish.

G. vatteri with single spine was very popular once.
I bought seeds and sowed in 2004. The name tad said "G. vatteri cv super single spine".

This one started with normal spines but it turned to single spines.

This one started with single spines but it lost spines lately.

I like that lime green color that the saglionis is ... but I also VERY much like that dusky grey/green color of the two cacti ... my FAVORITE is that pale, pale green of Ortegacactus macdougallii. A beautiful, lovely color for a cactus.

Frank
Since you appear to be a longtime Astrophytum expert, I wonder if I could induce you to go to thr cactus id area and help me with the species names of two very small Astrophytums. You do, after all, appear to be THE expert on this genus. Who else would I ask? Well, truth be told, I could probably ask several other people, but you are, to my eye, the biggest expert on this genus in this forum.
