Flowers All Winter Long

Post by WayneByerly »

I've got five cacti in my greenhouse that have been producing flowers ALL WINTER LONG . Granted ... there's a thermostatically controlled heater in it that comes on when the temperature goes as low as 40F (4.4C) and turns itself off when it reaches as high as 45F (7.2C) ... so whats in the greenhouse gets a 'cool' winter rest ... but it's not like they are freezing.

I thought that SOME of the members here MIGHT like to see pictures. So here they are. I have renamed the files with their Genus/Species names and reduced their size to 800x600.

This first cactus is not in flower TODAY, but it HAS been producing buds (like these) and flowers, ALL winter long.
