Seed Sourcing for Research

Post by Yeah1Yeah »

Hello!
If you find yourself having a purpose or a goal to research Opuntiads, the U.S. National Germplasm(?) System will send you a small portion of seeds.

I was checking out some grains to finish a research paper on Californian Wheats and grains, then noticed they had Opuntiads and Chollas listed in their seed banks.

Click 'plant germplasm' and then 'NPGS collections' to start browsing this website. I find it has a lot of great resources for students or researchers without the wallet to finance themselves.

These are outdated, they also had Mammillaria, Epis, Lophophora, Melocactus, etc. however these are all no longer available.
