I am a hobby cacti collector.
I stated to collect cacti when I was quite young but I moved around various places and lost all previous collections.
The current collection was started in 2003.
Cacti are kept in 2 greenhouses set on my backyard.
It is in winter in here and you can not see any flowers at moment.
Large greenhouse (12.5 m x 6.6 m)
various cacti
Small greenhouse (5.5 m x 3.5 m)
Asterias cultivars only

Since I tried to show whole room by one shot, a special camera was used.
The large greenhouse needs 4 shots at leased and small one is also not able to show by one shot.
The attached photo is the inside of small one taken by a normal camera.
It can not show some parts of the room.

It is not so much job in relation to cacti currently.
I have started to degraft some scions.
The photo is degrafted 2 years old Astrophytum hybrid, fukuryu-banjyaku.
They are set on empty pots and under drying.
I will set them on potting-mix early spring, in the end of August.

That's totally impressive. Nothing like specializing in plants as fascinating as those.
Degrafting is as much an art as grafting, isn't it? Whether to leave no stock, a tiny stump of the stock, enough of the stock to bury, but still save a scion known for root problems....
Patience is a big factor. I'm still learning new things every growing season.
Very nice set up you have.
