Central California indoor cacti room

Post by SA1991 »

hello, this is where i overwinter my tropical cacti and other non frost hardy plants. There are a few Selenicereus, Pereskiopsis, Hylocereus, and Epiphyllums. I also have sundews, pineapple, Coffea, Bromeliads, and vannila orchid Salvia Divinorum in the room.I live in zone USDA zone 9b, so I rarely have to deal with hard freezes. I am able to overwinter most of my other cacti outdoors without problems as long as They are sheltered from winter rains.

The room is supplemented with a six bulb T5-HO fixture with three 52W 2700k bulbs and three 52W 6500k bulbs. Also there are four 5000k 23W CFLs in case anyone was wondering.

Very pretty. Always nice to have a few favorites indoors to brighten winter. I have a GH but keep the melos, Xmas cactus & some ferns on a sun porch to enjoy.

Gosh, that looks lovely. If I brought my plants into the house we would have to move out as it is so small. Very nice =D>
