Autumn is when the Lithops come out to play. They're a little late this year, but the yellow "September" wave is well under way.

L. leslie at the front left. A couple of L. aucampiae on the right. Behind them is a clump of L. otzeniana pots, with L. localis on the right. There are even a few white flkowers coming through, on a L. marmorata seedling and L. salicola, but the big pot of white flowers at the back is a red herring (sic!) because they are L. lesliei var minor 'Witblom', a white flowered mutant. Here they are:

L. bromfieldii in another part of the greenhouse are doing well. Every single plant is in flower. This is most of them.

L. amicorum is always one of the first white flowered Lithops. I say always but It is such a new species that this is only about the third year I've had flowers.

Don't know which colour group this should be in :)

Lapidaria is almost a Lithops.

Frithia humilis flowers later than F. pulchra but October is still late. The leaves are looking tired, but the flowers are just coming to their best.

Nice showing Iann. My lone karasmontana looks very healthy but no signs of flowers this year. Thanks for the inspiration.

L. karasmontana is usually quite late. I regularly have them in flower in the second half of November, even into December, although I also have one that flowers at a more normal time. It has buds now.

K.W.,
You certainly have an amazing collection of plants! This may seem like a strange comment, but I can't help but notice the large Astrophytum asterias in the background that looks like it is imploding on itself, in the following photograph:

Any ideas what may be causing that? I have one that is doing something similar (no where near that extreme, but similar nonetheless). Mine seems perfectly healthy, and (though it's hard to tell from your photo) yours does as well. :-k

Interesting plant!

Good morning John,

this is a long and unsatisfactory story. . .
I will reply tomorrow, maybe better in another thread?
Or is it ok here?

Best regards

What variant is 67025? Or what species in that case.
