portable greenhouse

Post by keith »

I have moved these small shade houses from Moorpark Ca to Phoenix Az to Poway and then back to Moorpark. I finally am getting around to setting them up level and straight and noticed alot of flowers on my cactus. So I'm attaching some pictures. I have to secure them together at the handles when the wind picks up I have had them blow over a few times. I put plastic over them in the winter to keep everthing dry I've never heated them but if it is supposed to get really cold I can move them next to the house .

Phoenix ~2008 I think I had small wheels on them attached at the bottom 4 plcs. I had a concrete patio to roll them around on.

This is my first one 5 feet long which can get kinda heavy. I have to swing them open to get in but you don't need to. You can just make one and face the shade cloth side towards the sun. Thats how I started, with just one many years ago.

Fantastic idea! And cacti are safe from marauding critters--except perhaps the most determined. You should contract someone to build them on a large scale, then maybe go on "Shark Tank" and get one of them to market it. Obviously they would be useful for any type of small plants--not just cacti.
Catch a falling star--but don't try it with a cactus!
