Amazing photos of cacti and geologic arches!

And I just love those Echinomastus flowers with their subtle petal colors accompanied by flamboyant hues of stigma and anthers.

Seeing your photos makes me want to grow them.

(I will be visiting Utah doing the Grand Circle in a few days! So, your photos have me given me a much appreciated preview and boost of anticipation).

Superb shots of the Scleros and E'mastus. Someday I would like to see Scleros blooming in habitat.

Thanks so much folks!
Unfortunately we're back home and the absolutely stunning vacation is over. But we're looking forward to the next.

Wonderful pics Ralf. It interests me that Coryphantha recurvata flowers in a ring around the tops of the plants, as opposed to most (all?) other Corys, with a cluster of flowers at the apex. I hadn't noticed that before.

Thanks again for your nice comments!

@peterb
It seems so that the flowers forming a ring around the apex. The dried seed pods anyhow have such a layout.
It would be really interesting to see them in flower! But I don't know exactly when it is. I'm quite sure you'll figure it out.
