Time for another update.
Had to pull my finger out the other day and do something about the weed situation as it was getting alittle out of hand to say the least. Whole bed must of been covered in seeds from some kind of low leafy something that took off like wildfire once the heat of summer passed.

Before I got stuck into it on Thursday afternoon

Didn't get it all finished untill sunset so the after shot was taken the day after, lots tidier!

Some detail shots
M. gracilis isn't far from a weed either, just about every knocked loosed head that I've replanted has taken.

Unknown Fero is filling out nicely, almost hoping for flowers come spring.

Looking so much better. I do like your outdoor bed.

I'm thinking of creating one myself in the not too distant future. Gonna be in the Greenhouse though. Mammilaria Gracilis seems a good idea.

I have the same or similar Mystery Ferocactus too , only mine doesn't have such curved spinataion and they re a bit finer. But generally looks the same plant.

.

If there is one thing your are good at , it's weeding. something I am also known for. I have messed up Arthritic fingers to prove it :D

2 quick shots from today, almost spring like weather the last couple of days down here but have a coldsnap on the way with possible sub zero temps.

M. compressa cluster in my older bed is starting it's first flowers for the season.

M. mystax has it beat hands down. Neighboring E. terscheckii is finally starting to put on some height rather than just girth.

Bit of a revive here.
Weed situation is once again out of control and I haven't had the time to rectify it  Spring is booming with buds everywhere, everything from Fero's, Echinopsis, Mamm's and this Trich is having a go right now.

First buds, on a 9 foot plant

Long time since my last update, having just given the old cactii bed a well overdue weeding I figured it might just be time to throw up some shots. Most of the plants I originally put in are still alive and kicking, looking forward to some flowers.

The whole insanity

F. herrerae is really starting to look intimidating with those hooks

First buds of the season, missed the first flower, on this unknown Pilosocereus.

Unknow, but with some serious spines! Longest measured comes in just above 4.5 inches.

Nice work!

This mystery Fero can be F. schwarzii, I think. Check these of my photos where it is labeled: Photo 1 Photo 2
And some are about to flower at this size! :D
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.

Could well be, this one flowered a few weeks back. Nice show of about 10 or 12 yellow flowers.
Didn't get any shots of them open but here's the buds.
