Ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas! Not much snow in the Central Valley, but we have a snowman. Opuntia ficus-indica snowman with extra help. Merry Christmas to all.

This one only qualifies as it is slightly out of range. Echinocereus pentalophus growing happily at the eastern end of the Baviaanskloof, not to far from Port Elizabeth SOUTH AFRICA. More or less 10,000 km from home.

As soon as I saw the S. truncata flowers from the side, I thought they looked like hummingbirds or fairies, or maybe hummingbird fairies.

Photomanips aren't really my thing. Drawing is my thing. I did trace the lines of the cactus, but the trace was from my photo of my plant, so it's okay. :P

Sonoran desert rock outcrop in miniture.

With Echinopsis spachiana playing the part of the mighty Carnegiea gigantea.
Cleistocactus buchtienii as Stenocereus thurberi.
The "Agaves" are sempervivums.
Also playing, Opuntia microdasys minima,Escobaria sneedii ssp. leei, Dudleya gnoma, and the weeds, sedum multiceps.
Forget the dog...Beware of the plants!!!
