What are some methods to sterilize pots (clay and plastic) before planting seeds?
Thanks everybody in advance.

Star san
If you go to a homebrew supply place, there is a product called 'star-san' that is used to sanitize containers for fermenting stuff. It leaves a film of soapy phosphoric acid that kills all bugs and leaves the surface toxic to microbes. Once it's fully reacted, it becomes fertilizer.
Really? I home brew as well and have star san on hand and always wondered. What do you do? - soak the soil with it and just wait til it dries and then use tap? Normal sterilization amounts (star san to h20)?If you go to a homebrew supply place, there is a product called 'star-san' that is used to sanitize containers for fermenting stuff. I sterilize all my pots in hot water with bleach/soap mix then box them up for later use when i get any pots out for potting up plants i resoak them again in bleach then dry, i also nuke all potting mixes befour using, i dont use many clay pots, mostly all plastic here.
