Mammillaria sánchez-mejoradae

Post by vbueno »

Mammillaria sánchez-mejoradae is easy to grow grafted.

I planted seeds of my own sanchez-mejoradae and I have copies on their own
roots.

You said it is easy to grow grafted, so I assumed there's a hidden stock on the first picture.

That's a good display. I just noticed buds on M. perezedelarosae but they won't open for at least a couple of months unless I bring them under lights.

Hi Vicent,
That is sure nice to have blooming in January.

Are all of them grafted?

Iann: I have several Mammillarias with flowers, some with buds as a straw-colored spines pérezdelarosae. Also many Turbinicarpus and some Thelocactus, Rebutia or Eriosyce. Of course, inside the greenhouse, but without heating.
Daiv: The two sánchez-mejoradae with several heads are grafted. The more than one head are not grafted. The photo crucigera and other crucigeras now in bloom are not grafted.
Greetings
Vicent

Angelo, C And D, excellent cactus those who show .
This graft has the same age as the right one on their own roots.

that's a dramatic difference, I was curious what a full grown plant in habitat would look like, actually the grafted plant will not look very unnatural in the end it seems:

(hope I have your permission daiv..)

That's one of Juergen's pics, but by all means within the forum here, include any pictures from the guide. It just saves the step of having to click and see it.
