That's a lot of cool stuff you got there. My cousin used to live in Fountain Hills. They had a lot of cacti. They moved into a new house in Paradise Valley. IT had some cool cacti too, but anyways that area is neat. Some people have some really nice stuff. Your feros are nice

Thanks! If I get inspired, I may put on some long pants and boots, grab my camera, and wander around the non-landscaped part of the property. Lots of chollas, some barrels and young saguaros. I like Fountain Hills, close to civilization but apart from the urban sprawl of the Valley. We are required to maintain 1/3 of our property here as natural desert.

I like it Far from the typical stuff you normaly see in AZ.

Thats quite the Fero.

These are also from my property. That Fero is 6' if it's an inch.

There are some pincushions out there as well, but 110° heat got to me before I could manage to find them.

Thanks! German Star is the name of my company, we sell parts for Mercedes Benz. I'm an administrator on three different forums (work-related) and participate on several others, and find it convenient to employ the same user name on all forums for simplicity's sake. Personally, there is nothing German about me.

haha cool pics. You have nice property that I could only dream of having, however I am only dreaming because I could never leave my house and yard. (my house is smaller then Bill Gates Dining room. 1000 sq feet for his dining room and 940Sq feet for my house)

As are the Sagauros. Is that your house in background with the pics of the saguaros?
IF so looks like you got a nice view...watch out for snakes oh and lastly watch out for the pincusions (M. grahamii) They are small and easy to step on, but lovely!

Thanks! That house is on the other side of the wash I was standing in and across a cul-de-sac. My house was at my back as I snapped the pic of the two tall armless Saguaros. Those Saguaros are at the end of my property line. And yes, there are all manner of rattlers, coyotes, bobcats and javalina around. We should start a wildlife (fauna) thread, I've taken lots of pics of the same kinda critters I imagine you have in your neighborhood.
