Stetsonia coryne (Salm-Dyck) Britton & Rose
Growth Habits: Grows up to 30 feet [10m] tall with stems around 4 inches [10cm] dia.
Scientific name: Stetsonia coryne.
Common names: Toothpick cactus.
Synonym: Cereus coryne, Cereus chacoanus
Etymology: Named For Francis Lynde Stetson.
coryne : A Latin word meaning club.
Origin: Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay.
Light: Full sun.
Compost: A free draining standard cactus mix.
Water: Water in spring to autumn allowing soil to dry well between waterings, keep dry in winter.
Flower: Large white with a tinge of pink, nocturnal.
Min temp: Frost hardy to about -4c but is best kept frost free.
Cultivation: Easy to grow plant, grows best in full sun to encourage strong spination.

Comments. Grows to tree like size but makes a nice plant in collections for a few years until it grows too big.
