ariocarpus fruits

Post by bruno »

Fuits development in ariocarpus is an interesting matter. While ripening they are conspicuous and you can easily harvest most of the seeds withouth much browsing into the apical wool. A. agavoides bearing by far the biggest club shaped fuit. When dry they disintegrate and seeds are almost buried in the apex.

Here are pics of fruits of various species at different stages

thanks, I' glad you like how these plants are grown :)
Fruits are seldom seen, as roots. I think the sequence of kotschoubeyanus is documenting well how the fruit develops.
