What you have there is actually a cactus, it looks like Rhipsalis cereuscula.
Forget the dog...Beware of the plants!!!

Thank you Tony. Yes I should have asked the question under Cacti identification, sorry for that.
I was sold this plant as Rhipsalis baccifera which I thought was not correct,
