Finally ordered me a copy. Now I will know what you experts are looking at on the side :lol: Supposed to be here friday I cant wait!! Any tips on the book or is it pretty straight forward?

It's a really good book, but have your computer (or phone ;) ) handy to cross reference some of the names and info.

In my opinion, Anderson's book has a great format. Two things would make it better, 1. More pictures - a pic of every species would be great. 2. Range maps. Pilbeam always includes those and I love that.

While the nomenclature on Anderson's work is disputed by many, what publication isn't that way?

I am sure you'll be pleased with the purchase.

Sorry, didn't mean to make it sound like the book is full of fluff...it's a great resource worthy of the enthusiasts library.

Good point, thats what i like most with other books. Distribution maps!

Didn't come accross that way to me - probably because that is exactly how I use it too.

cool, well I'm sure it will be a great building block as my first cacti book. Well not counting the CSSA journals.

WOOT got the book friday afternoon!! Why didnt you guys warn me that massive copiapoa mounds would send me into seizures!!!!! lol Amazing book!
