Synonym: Turbinicarpus krainzianus ssp. minimus, Turbinicarpus krainzianus var. minimus, Turbinicarpus krainzianus, Turbinicarpus pseudomacrochele ssp.krainzianus

Flower: The flower colour is yellow outer petals often have mid stripe.

Min temp: Hardy to 25°F (-4°C), for short periods.

Cultivation: Easy to grow and remains a very small plant.

Comments: first a few notes on the plant, it has a tuberous root system and if you look at the lower stem you can see the juvenile spine formation devoid of central spines along with the adult spine formation on the top with papery central spines.

secondly a note on taxonomy, this particular plant seems to be a minefield of what is Scientific name and what is Synonym, i finally took my reference from the book Ariocarpus et cetera Published in 2006.

top image showing the mid stripe in the flowers.
