Great flower,can any one tell me what kind of cactus this is? I've had it for years and this last summer was its first flowering. what can i do to get more?Image

Not a cactus, a Succulent. It's a Stapelia of sorts.

Hope you weren't standing to close! They tend to smell very bad. Their pollinators are flys and are attracted to the rotten meat smell of the flowers.

Looks to me like Stapelia gigantea.

Looks alot like my Stapelia gigantia. I grow them in full sun as soon as I can get them out in the spring. I move them back in the greenhouse before frost of course. I water and fertilize regularly all summer. That of course depends on your potting mix. I keep them drier through the winter. Great huge flowers but they do stink. :D
