An ariocarpua bravoanus was in flower yesterday. Two more same species have pushed flowering buds up but they will not be able to open flowers today. It is not rainy day today but I can not see sunlight at all.

A degrafted Turbinicarpus alonsoi was in flower. It is not necessary to graft alonsoi but I grafted several this species for the purpose of seed collection. Since the cactus was once grafted, the body is quite large.

These seedlings are ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceus cv Suguri cauliflower, sown seeds on 24th June 2014.
They were repotted once into 10 cm square pots.
They are large enough to come out from a wet-box. I will repot them in September.

G'morning Needmorecactus,
If i may ask Frank what exactly is a wetbox
The wetbox is:
A plastic box with a lid, the lid has 7 mm diameter 15 holes for ventilation.
The size of box is 40 cm x 77 cm and 15 cm height.
The box is white. It depends upon the weather but the inside of box is 500~1000 lumens on a sunshineday.
I gave a soft sunlight over seedlings.

A capillary mat is laid on the bottom of box and pots are sit on the mat.
Since seedlings are small, you can not water over seedling. I water over the mat.
When the mat is dried up, I water over the mat again. The frequency of watering is every month in summer.

Since I created this method by myself, I gave the name as "wetbox".

I have 8 boxes currenly.

Please have a look attached photos.

Frank
