Today I bought two miniature cacti in Germany, without names but with a QR-Code "scan for variety". First I thought that a good idea.
The nursery is somewhere in Spain. On the backside of their packaging is a QR-code wich leads you to an internet site with all the species sold. ...aaaand another site was opened with it. Being very tired, I didn' check it at first: That was a security attack on my tablet!!!! They tried to install something!!! So I just tried to shut down my tablet as fast as I can. I will not restart it but at the store of the vendor with somebody there to help me.
So do beware before you scan the code of plants from Sunny Days Cactus!
On the European plant passport they have the nursery number ES-14-30-3260.
Take care,
Nachtkrabb.
Do NOT scan this code:

Did you contact the nursery and let them know what happened? Maybe they are not responsible.

Hi Jerry, I admit that I didn't.
I had next to never used the browser on that tablet, only once with something totally different. Then I closed all open windows carefully.
An internet site usually does not open on its own accord. Soooooo....?
