Most of the time the insects or animals can smell it but we can't, unless you get very close to the flower. Some of the Stapelia, Huernia and similar species, you don't want to get too close...... :D :D :D
I assumed the purpose of different scents or colours is to attract different pollinators.

Thanks mmcavall! Weather still a bit cold here, but I can see there are more flower buds.
Day time temperature might go down to 5°C again next week, hopefully not affecting the cactus too much.

A pity the flowers on most Euphorbias are relativly small, close up they are very nice 🙂

Nice pics! 🙂 It’s always interesting to get a glimpse of the flora and fauna from other parts of the world. The scented sundew, what kind of scent are we talking about?
