Yes, they both appear to be leninghausii to me.

I think you are correct on both forms. I prefer to use the genera name Notocactus. I will never call it a species of Parodia.

Yep. both the same species - the spination is quite variable. I also agree that lumping them into Parodia was a dubious notion - the were a generally called a Notocactus when I began cactus growing 40-some years ago.
