Guys
First, apologies for posting a non-succulent request.
I hope somebody can give me a pointer, as at this point in time, I can't even pin it down to a Family, let alone a Genus.
The ONLY thing I can say, for sure, is that is NOT one of the 2 Africa acacia genera, Vachellia or Senegalia.
Found on a large expanse of wasteland, outside the city of Marrakech, Morocco.
I first thought, acacia, till I saw the leaves. They were thicked and a bit leathery to touch. Definately not a Fabacaea member.
Thorns were typical acacia double thorns, but some appeared to be recurving thorns, similar to a rose's.
Lots of beetle carcasses impaled on the thorns. Spotted the prime suspect a bit later. A Great Grey Shrike
Any help would be appreciated
