Hey Darryl, that took some time to put this post together. But makes for a very nice tour. I've been to the DBG once and I just went crazy! So many cacti, so little time!

Anyway, thanks for the time you took to share this!

Hi Darryl- as it looks like I really am moving to Tempe AZ at the end of July (holy moly it's hot there then!) I especially appreciate the photos.

Hi Darryl- Actually, Santa Fe is a frikkin' iceberg, especially this spring. I'm often met with disbelief when I talk about the Santa Fe climate, but that's because folks forget it's in the foothills of the Rockies and at an altitude of 7,000 feet. Last night it was 35F! We got three feet of snow over New Year's weekend. From the last spring frost to first fall frost is a teeny little window of 130 days. The highest temperature ever recorded for Santa Fe is 99F degrees, the lowest: -17F.

Tempe's record high is 119F.

But I'm getting more excited about moving there. It's hailing outside right now...gotta run and put a few plants under cover.

Hi Darryl- haha, yes, that's one of the great charms of the mountainous southwest. I was in Palm Springs once and it was about 100F; I took the tram to the top of Mt. San Jacinto and there was three feet of snow. All I had was desert camping gear and the ranger looked at me like I was insane. (He was right).

Hi Darryl, nah I dont Race But I built a little hot rod Rx3 when I was a teenager,
I bought it for 50 bucks with the engine in the trunk!
when I got through screwing with it,it had a street ported 13b rotary with a holly 550,headers and custom exhaust,5 speed tranny,Ricaros and so on....
It could easily take a factory camaro or mustang, which isnt saying much at that time in the early to mid 80's they were sleds, but it was still fun!
my favorite were the ones with the paper plates stil on em. :laughing6:
I havent thought about that car in a long time,
thanks for jaring my memory

Is there anyone still running a rotary?
