Euphorbia ID

I got this from a friend a the other week, she also doesn't know the name.

I'm not an expert, but this look to me like some kind of Pachypodium.

My first thought too, a Pachypodium. But which one, I don't know...

I think it is a Euphorbia. You can always pull off a leaf and see if it bleeds white. If it does it definitely is a Euphorbia. If it doesn't bleed or bleeds clear then Maj and Aiko are correct. There are a bunch of little shrubby type Euphorbias. It is not one I recognize off the top of my head, but I don't get the sense that it is a rare one.

I thought it was a Euphorbia too. I recently purchased this but I don't know what it is but it's a Euphorbia. The leaves of yours look similar. Euphorbia croizatii? But I can't seem to find any info that it has a caudex. The grower just called it Euphorbia milii "caudex"

It does have white sap, so it's a Euphorbia. Kondoi sounds good but it has a much longer spines that what mine has, someone in in another forum has suggested rossii...

Coldcactus...I'd say you have a Pachypodium lamerei on your hands.

I can see why someone might think that last one is a Pachypodium. Keep in mind the people on this forum are pretty cactus obsessed and everything else is just a succulent to them! You may have to get it to flower to ID it for certain.
