Large scale grafting fun

Post by jeffrey6115 »

I had gotten some Cereus cuttings last year with the intention of using them as grafting bottom stock. The rooted and were growing like weeds so it was time. The grafts were a success. Now to see what happens from here. They measure 10-12 inches tall from the soil surface.

Nice graftings... but how would you get off the grusonii when it gets large??
This plant grows very well on its own roots, even better than grafted.

I'm not sure how I'll get it off there. The main reason I used it was because I had several. If it didn't work I would still have some in the collection. The other 2 are no name Mamms. Once again more expendable.

Those are some big grafts. Are you mostly just experimenting with these?
All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti
