what kind of opuntias grow hair? ive tried to find info but can never know where to look or what to search for... :-s

There not really hair, they are spines. The one in my avator looks friendly but would draw blood in a heartbeat.

ahahahaha you got that right. They will win every time. When I first moved to the desert people stared at me funny when I took off my shoe and would pick at my feet. I got a bunch of glochids in my feet all the time. It drove me nuts, they hurt!

:roll: :shock: :lol: what can I say, I love the spiny ones, even if they hurt me ! :)

Opuntia Sasquatchii is by far the hairiest...(juuust kidding)
The best time to plant a cactus is twenty years ago. The second best time is now...
Zone 5a-5b...
