This is a two-year-old 'American Beauty' rose cutting starting to take-off. There are two of them, and it looks like they're going to do well on their own root stock. They are very fragrant. Tony

Hey Tony, awsome roses and us women LOVE roses!!! I got one out back by the GH thats trying to make a come back after it wasnt cared for properly. The tag says Rosa Meidomonac ? Dont know what that is.. I hope it grows good and gets few blooms on it this yr.

Unfortunately, the florist industry has caused roses to be selectively bred for looks and longevity, and the scent has been bred out.
Myself, I'd rather have roses that smell pretty than look perfect.
