Re: New growth on top of Ech. grus. What is it?

One year and three months later...there are a total of 12 pups. Although one is smallish and underneath two others. The two largest are nearly equal in size at ~4.75" diameter including the spines. As expected no roots have appeared. The parent cactus seems slightly undernourished..perhaps from...

Re: Nes and his balcony of lame plants

Seems to be a very common " EBay thing"...a California seller lists Loph's as "RARE Ariocarpus Astrophytum Aztekium" and a Chinese seller lists them as "Two heads Astrophytum asterias cactus Succulent Home Bonsai Decor plants". While the pictures are very identifiable P...

Thanks Keith! I hate sanding seeds- I’ve done it with mesquite seeds and it was very effective.

Thanks Steve! I would be interested in texensis.

Sure thing! PM me your address and I'll send you some.

Re: Looking for Echinocactus horizonthalonius seeds

I might have some EH seeds. Both of mine bloomed over the last couple of years and I pollinated them with each other. Just don't recall right offhand if I harvested seeds or not. I'll check and reply.

And I'll try on your thread as a test...an Agave in my front yard in ground succulent garden. It worked. Maybe check your file size? IDK.

It's been in ground since it was a pup in his yard and since last summer in mine. Two new pups are fo...

Re: Your best photo

Thanks, Alejandro! Most of those were cell phone images. The bottom Milky Way was entirely cell phone captured. The Moon images were also with a cell phone held up to the eyepiece of my telescope. The others were taken with an older Canon DSLR I bought used last year. Amazing to me that cell cameras...

Same here...reply only...it seems. No new threads and no image insertion...yet.

No complaints here...just patiently waiting and glad to see others are posting.
