Re: Share your pets here
Jimmy looks like he's part Siamese. The shape of the head and the blue eyes are Siamese traits.
I had 2 Siamese mixes. They're definitely a breed apart.

Re: Cacti, Cactus, Cactuses
It all depends on what language you are using. In Latin and English one uses cactus-cacti ,but here in Europe almost every language has it own words. German:kaktus-kakteen, french:cactus-cactees, swedish:kaktus - kaktusar , and so forth. So only in a conversation with englishspeaking people am i us...

Re: Cacti, Cactus, Cactuses
Cacti for me, though I might accept cactus for a general mass of them, such as Cactus of Arizona . Not for those five cacti, though. Now apply that principal to the word 'goose'. Face it, we all (or nearly all) use cactus as both singular and plural, and only tend to pull cacti out of our hats circ...

Re: Cacti, Cactus, Cactuses
According to Wikipedia and Merriam Webster, all three are correct. Growing up in Arizona, I've always said cacti. Cactuses still sounds a bit illiterate to my ears, but I can see how it would become an acceptable variant. Cactus, however, is just plain wrong. You don't say "I have five cactus&q...

Prosilver green is hideous.
Prosilver green 2 looks sorta okay, except that the posts and signatures all seem to run together.
I definitely like the Artodia best. It's the easiest to read and it just looks nicer.

Re: Dean Elzinga performing Fri Mar 2, 8 PM
I started to scoff at that "not studio perfect", then I remembered from my choir days how one can hear all sorts of imperfections that someone who hadn't spent ages working on the piece would never notice. You sound great. :) Wish I'd been born with a voice that good. Your photographer doe...

Re: Fine Tuning...
I don't like the new look of the BCSS forum at all. Hideous colours with poor definition. I don't like the post icons either, too many with too little variation between them. I have no idea what they mean which makes them just so much useless clutter. And they move, horrible. Here is better. Still ...

Re: Picture upload
Paint has no option for image quality though, even with me resizing images to a max of 600 pixels wide or tall Paint still leaves unnessesarily large filesizes. One example, a 600x479 image that I've resized with Paint is still 396KB while the same image uploaded to imageshack using the "optim...

Re: Picture upload
Another free way to resize images is Paint. It comes built into every copy of Windows, so if you've got Windows you have it. Just right click on your image file and open it with Paint. Under the image drop down menu there's a resize/skew option.

Re: Fine Tuning...
Okay, this is weird. When I quoted Daiv's post with the embedded video I got a huge blank spot where the video should be. But if I click on the blank spot, the audio for the video starts playing.

Here is a test of the youtube function.... Check out this awesome cactus vid! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EIv4Wl6idM Yay! Thanks, Daiv! Iann, I'm not noticing any flickering on the forum and I'm usually over-sensitive to stuff like that. In fact, ever since the upgrade the forum's bee...
