Isn’t that a bit disputed? That Sansevierias should now be classified as Dracenas? I will stubbornly still call them Sansevierias..

Re: Would you consider these to be succulents?

ZZ grows on direct sun with cacti, it's very compact, low and has bright shiny green leaves. Winter it spends with adeniums, dry. So it's a kind of caudex maybe and xerophytic. Dracaena draco is a xerophytic and a bit succulent also but it needs more watering than succulents at early age. ..and sti...

Re: New cacti

I am sorry about the ‘messy’ post. The pics didn’t want to behave, they placed themselves as they pleased :?

A stupid (?) question about copyright

I found some interesting articles on BCSS which I was going to link to on my blog. But the text below the articles got me wondering, I am allowed to or not? I read it as I am not allowed to post screenprint e.g. on my blog but does the same applies for a link to the articles? This is the text in que...

Re: What is this smelly succulent?

Regarding ‘smelly’ cacti; One of my christmas cacti have a faint pleasant odour ( out of blooming). The odour is as said very faint and I have problems placing it, it’s like a very faint perfume of some sort. I can clearly smell it when bending over the plant. What’s causing it, I don’t know.

Re: Avonia papyracea- repotting?

Thank you Tom in Tucson 🙂 Haven’t repotted them yet, but what I have learned so far; like Lithops they don’t rot just by seeing the watering jug.. I see new growth on them, really nice little plant.

Re: Avonia papyracea- repotting?

Than you Tom in Tucson 🙂 Excellent advice, as soon as I by trial and error find a mix that works well 😀I only started growing cacti/succulents ‘seriously’ three years ago, so I am very much a beginner yet. I haven’t repotted them yet but I gave them water and they are now more or less standing strai...
