Re: Hello from Agave utahensis Land!

Welcome. Agave utahensis is a nice plant. I have a few growing from seed myself. I've also started producing and selling nevadensis and eborispina seeds and seedlings, you can find out more about that from my website: http://mojave.lv Too bad it is needed to sign up for a mailing list first to be ab...

Re: Flona 2023

I just looked it up. Mine is called Sansevieria boncellensis. But I suspect there is not true species called S. boncellensis and it is some hybrid anyway?

Re: Updated seed lists

Also František Šibal from the Czech Republic has updated his seed lists. The list can be inquired via email. Send me a message if you want me to send you his email address (I don't want to publish it online). The list mostly contains South American cacti.

Re: Flona 2023

I do like the two Sansevierias. I came home with a greener version of Sansevieria 'Boncel' (I don't know the name it came with from memory now) when I visited the ELK (a big succulent fair in Europe) a few weeks ago. I now have four Sansevierias, of which three in my greenhouse and one stays outside...

Astrophytum asterias, probably. But not like one I have seen before. Can it be it has been grafted?

Re: Free seeds / seed swap list

An update, as some things are gone because I have sown them myself or they are reserved for someone. I have the following species available for free to everyone, experienced or inexperienced: - Albuca sp. - harvest of spring 2023 - Delosperma sp. Re: Copiapoa continued growth over winter.

Do you have good sun light during your winters? If I would continue watering in winter, my plants for sure will etiolate. For many species I don't mind allowing them to dry for a month or 5 to 6. They do shrink very nicely and it is always a joy of seeing them plump up again after their first wateri...

Re: Best wattage for succulents and cactuses

Probably depends a bit on the genera. Melocactus will certainly germinate well enough still. And I bet the cryptocarpic Mammillarias too.

But even if they are Fraileas, which apparently lose viability fast, I would still give the seeds a try.

Re: Free seeds / seed swap list

Just a small update. Note: I might be sowing some winter active species myself next week, if there are no takers for them. I have the following species available for free to everyone, experienced or inexperienced: - Albuca sp. - harvest of spring 2023 - Delosperma sp. (one portion left) - harvest of...

Nice Gymnocalyciums.

Will you be going to the ELK again, two weeks from now?
