Re: Astrophytum seedling leaning
I had a P.pringlei seedling start to fall (I put them out in heavy rain, woops..). Did what you did and now it’s back on its own. I’d say just give them time as the roots continue to develop.

BCSS - impossible to ever register
I’ve tried many, many times to register to BCSS, always get stumped on the question you need to answer. So I finally managed to get it, and it said account created. But I can’t log in... something about the account not being activated. I used the same username as here. Didn’t receive any emails to a...

Wonderful! I particularly like the last one with the white flowers. Reminds me of a rose.

Aloidendron barberae transplant?
Guys and gals, Got an Aloidendron I wish to move. It’s currently planted in the ground and has been there for several years. It’s about 8’ high and now I’d like to move it.. What are the chances of a successful transplant? It’ll be going back in same soil type just different location. How deep will ...

Did this today
So I’m trying to reduce the number of pot plants I have laying around. I managed to make 3 into one today doing this. Going to have to keep the Huernia and Stapelia trimmed, the Euphorbia (pulvinata?) will hopefully form a nice little clump! When I removed it (Euphorb) from its pot I noticed that ab...

Re: Ferocactus oddity
Seedlings with a third cotyledeon tend to develop normal mature growth. Whatever causes the 3rd cotyledon to develop usually doesn't affect the growing point. I had a P. Pringlie grow with 3 and it turned into a normal seedling. Another that grew normal has since split into 2 stems (they’re maybe a...

Show your largest plants!
Bit of fun! Post up your largest cacti and/or succulent! Mines a 20’ or so Opuntia tomentosa and an Aloidendron barberae which is around 9’. Will put pics up later. Actually there’s a Euphorbia trigona that’s larger than the Aloe growing in the Opuntia. Both the euphorbia and the Opuntia are going t...

Re: Well, that’s embarrassing..
Or maybe she is a fake too, who wants nothing but an "internet trafic" to her site How could you not notice the day to day transformation of your BELOVED plant? Me, i everydays look at my cacti just to admire their transformation...oh, a new tubercle is formed, oh a new spine is formed et...
