G'day kieth, I had probelms with A. retutus from 2012 many died I think bad soil. I think fissuratus can tolerate against various conditions, which is more than retusus but many retusus seedlings can also survive. The photo is retusus v bicolor sown seeds in 2011. 3 cacti were in flower yesterday afternoon.
The cactus on 1st photo is the 2nd flowering in this season.

It was a bit late but I could see a flower of T. alonsoi yesterday.

5 ariocarpus seedlings were repotted in this morning. Seedlings are A. retusus v furfuraceus cv Suguri cauliflower which are in 5 cm square tubes.

An ariocarpus fissuratus f Big Bed was in flower in this morning. This is same one posted on 17th Feb. It was 2nd flowering in this season for the cactus.
