Re: Is this normal for an Echeveria? what am I doing wrong?

Thank you. Probably not the right plant for my window direction. Can I prune the piece off?

Is this normal for an Echeveria? what am I doing wrong?

I thought Echeveria was mostly "squat" or low growing, but after I repotted from a root bound very small plastic pot after I purchased it, it started growing vertically like pictured. The container is pretty shallow. Did I give it too much room? It gets even sunlight each day. Thanks in ad...

Browning on Aloe plant

Hi everyone, I am a newbie and have probably a very newbie question. I have what I think is a an Aloe Jacunda which was very healthy looking when I bought but it has a brown color around the edges, see picture. I don't over-water and keep it in a sunny window. I have a feeling it does not like full ...

Growing Opuntia as a house plant

I'm looking for advice. I don't see Opuntia offered at shows by dealers when I go to sales, but I would like to try and grow one. I've read that they are mostly propagated by cuttings. Do these make good house plants? I am in Zone 6a, so indoors only for me.

What cultivars are recommended?

Thanks

Re: Zygo season

I just lost mine, it was already to bloom and drooped because it had some type of infestation, small white bugs. Eventually died. I will try again. Beautiful pictures!

Beginner question- repot newly purchased plants?

Hi,

We just bought at a local Cactus show, about 6 cactus and succulents in small plastic pots, probably about 2" in diameter. Should I move these to slightly larger clay pots with a good quality cactus mix, or should I wait until they are bigger?

Thanks!

Hello, thanks for the welcome.

Is there a forum section for basic questions or should I just post in the correct category. Will do a search first of course.

thanks!
