Mammillaria polythele var nudum

My first ever flowering succulent :) Bought it in bloom a year ago, and managed to get it to flower again now :) Seems to be a pretty easy one, but still pretty proud as none of the other ones I bought in flower are flowering again...

Re: New succulents

Tanks iann! I thought the spines might be died, but I had thought that about an echinocereus rigidissimus rubispinus, only to find out I was totally wrong, so preferred not to even suggest it this time! It'll be nice to see how it grows to find new spines then, something to look forward too, even if...

Re: 3 unknown cacti...

Hello, I don't want to confuse gmoir_2 so I will start by saying I am new too, so these people know lots more then me! I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how you would differentiate a cleistocactus from a pilosocereus? They look similar to me, but I've got an untrained eye... And... that E...

Christmas Cactus?

Hey! Got this for New Years and didn't think to take photos then but it had loads of pale pink flowers (can see the last dying ones on the photos). Is this a Christmas cactus? My friend has one but I think her flowers are deep red. If its not that, what else could it be? Succulent 5 -1.JPG Succulent...

New succulents

Hey!
Got a few more succulents for the New Year and, as always, I don't know what they are.
Any thoughts?

Re: Do these Pilosocereus have mold?

Hey steve, thanks for the suggestion. I'll let the cacti dry a bit and then i'll get rid of some of the soil and add in perlite. I haven't been fertilizing because it's winter (cold and dry here in central France) and repotted during the summer. I do, however have a cactus fertilizer which I was goi...

Re: Do these Pilosocereus have mold?

Hey! I just depotted and they were both quite wet, so think might be too much water, but poked them and it is still nice and hard. Leaving them out of their pots for a bit to dry. Roots like fine, here are the photos: C1.JPG C1 (3).JPG C1 (2).JPG C2.JPG C2 (3).JPG C2 (4).JPG They are still growing a...

Re: Do these Pilosocereus have mold?

Well, it's hard to get in there and tell what its like because of the spines, but it still seems quite hard (at least I can push on the spines to pick it up). I repotted this summer with cacti soil and put a layer of perlite at the bottom, and the drainage holes work fine too. The roots seemed fine ...

Do these Pilosocereus have mold?

Hello! I have two Pilosocereus (could be Pilosocereus pachycladus or pilosocereus lanuginosus, posted photos on cacti id and people weren't too sure). I bought them about 3 years ago. Cactus 1: It has double in size since I got it, though the base is brown and incredible thin (why I now have sticks ...
