Re: Why do novices always use clay pots?

Some of my plants stay in clay pots. Although not as good for the plants in the greenhouse, some of mine go outside for the warm season. We get 60+ inches of rain on average per year. 30-45 of that during warm weather. I have rotted quite a few plastic potted plants while clay dries out quickly whil...

Re: Possible problem

It was a great time growing all these from seed! I lost some, but I've also got a lot of plants to make it that I thought would not. They survived a summer storm that broke my greenhouse roof causing some of the trays to flood with water and dumped some out on the greenhouse floor, which has some of...

Venus flytrap news

It just became a felony in North Carolina to take venus flytraps from their natural habitat( previously it was a misdemeanor), except with permission of landowners. They grow naturally within a 90 mile radius of Wilmington, NC, in wetlands. Three men were just caught with 900 plants taken from the H...

Re: Is this a rhipsalis?

Could be Selenicereus testudo. I have Lepismium ianthothele and it looks much different. I had a s. testudo for years and could never get it to flower, so I hope you have better luck!!
