Re: Young Adenium - no leaves during summer?

In any case I would definitely check the roots. Compact, heavy substrate or permanently moist soil when adenium should be growing and has no leaves might cause root rot.
Transpiration pull simply doesn't work.

Re: Another gifted succulent

Looks like an Adenium. Probably obesum.
Adeniums are realtively trouble-free plants.
They love hot, sunny weather. The more leaves the more water they can absorb.

Re: C and D's Succulents

Unbelievable colouring on that C.maughanii ssp.armeniacum!
Seeing that interesting tiny A.evoluta makes me want to ask you whether your stunning A.ventricosa are flowering these days..
Would be nice to see some recent photos in flower.
Thanks.

Normally I use rubbing alcohol. Some use cinnamon powder, haven't tried it though.

Re: Dioscorea elephantipes root rot

Hard to tell seeing the picture. I killed my 12 cm D.elephantipes maybe 5 years ago. The plant looked healthy and in full growth - three vines full of leaves and no suspicion at first sight. Then checked the bottom part of the caudex by fingers and already I knew I need to pull it out of the pot to ...

Re: C and D's Succulents

Yes, one can take the B.bruynsii as a weird plant but I have to add - in a good way.. :)
I find it beautiful and very interesting.
Well grown and compact looking G.heathii you have there.

Re: C and D's Succulents

Nice and peculiar leaves! And good to see an othonna with different than the common yellow flowers.
I bet there's already a nice promising caudex buried in the soil.

Great show as always.

In your opinion, is it the slowest one from all Anacampseros?
I think you have some adults posted somewhere.

Thanks for posting this very special Othonna!
Unlike the others in the genus, this one should have purple flowers.
We'll see....
