Cacti need water every 2-3 weeks... In Summer (for my cacti) once every 3 weeks is enough since they store water. So you very much likely over watered it. In winter they need even less water, some don't need water at all during the winter months. stop watering and see what happens.

Maybe you should post this in the Sick Cacti-section And get a closer picture.. Has it shrunk? You should water it maybe. Even tho cacti need very little water, they still need some every now and then...

They're Marginatocereus marginatus seeds and some Opuntia castillae..

i dont really have any plants i would want to use for that.. and something about chopping then into pieces makes me very uncomfortable

haha thanks. it's a very small development but my aloe didn't make it this year and neither did this other plant i planted for fun.. dont even remember what it was so this is already a big score if they make it I*ll probably feel like the queen of cacti :DDD

it was scale :/ went to the place i got it from and they found scale on all the other plants too.

Yeah I grow my plants indoors, have drainage holes and am careful with the water, still there's been mealies and scale this week. good luck to you.

After buying the pots, I found four cacti for them.... The fourth is perhaps my favourite pot... Because I am always forgetting to water my plants, and I can't stand it when the water seeps out the drainage holes onto my chest of drawers (I couldn't be bothered to get plates to catch the water),......
