Re: Nes and his balcony of lame plants
Good luck to you and your lame plants in Tucson!
Do you really need a greenhouse for you plants, up there? My view of Arizona is that it is dry and warm most of the year, so you should keep plants out.

Re: How do you ship seed?
Or just try both. That is what I always do. You always run the risk the seeds from one source might not germinate. So if there is a species you really like to grow from seed, allow for multiple chances for yourself at once and buy from different sources. If one portion of seeds wil not germinate, th...

It should be active again somewhere late November / early December. There will be an announcement for it well before that time on the website. It is a good source, so I can highly recommend it.Tom in Tucson wrote: ↑Sun Jun 19, 2022 7:47 pm This is Volker Schädlich's web site, but his seed catalog is inactive.

Those Epithelantha greggii look a bit yellowish. Is Epithelantha greggii in general less white than other Epithelanthas?

Re: Looking for Backebergia militaris
I would like plants or seeds of this as well, but I'm not sure anyone in Australia has any. I would love to be proven wrong. Well, the perfect time for you would be to ask this forum around October and November, when most of the European seed lists are being updated. I could always order this speci...

The Fraileas are now gong. Nothing added for the moment. I have the following species available for free to everyone, experienced or inexperienced: - Allium virginculae (one portion of 13 seeds left) - harvest of winter 2022 - Bowiea volubilis (one portion left) - harvest of winter 2021 - Dioanea mu...

Interesting. Looks a bit like Anacampseros glued on sticks!
But unfortunately Australian succulents are not easy to obtain. Maybe it will take a few decades for them to become more mainstream.

Re: Chloride AZ Cemetery
When you look online, you could see some funny tombs of this cemetery. And oddly enough the main entrance sign used to be much higher and a 'real' entrance. I would not mind ending up there (eventually). At least up there there is a good chance eternity really will be eternity. I don't expect a mall...

There were days I used old match boxes. Worked quite well, and does not add a great deal of weight.

I think it is time to change the title of the thread to something like "Keith's great sowing results" thread.
How are the Escobaria minima doing these days, anyway?

Have you tried chipping the seeds to get a much higher germination rate? It is quite easy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGG2-YpGDWA
